This project addresses the critical need to curb escalating gang activity and levels of violence through education, job training, and recreational programs. The Gang Intervention Through Targeted Outreach (GITTO) Program serves a target population of youth who have been in gangs, had siblings or other family members in gangs, or have been at risk for gang involvement because of school relationships. GITTO works to interrupt gang involvement before these young people are fully immersed in gang activity. |
